Manage arriving Visitors for planned visits

If Visitors arrive for a planned visit, you can look up the visit in C•CURE 9000, verify each Visitor’s identity, contact the visit Host, and issue temporary credentials to the Visitors, based on the information in the visit.

Procedures can differ for a given site, but usually a planned visit requires:

One or more Visitors arrive and identify themselves and the Host for the visit, so that you can find the visit in the system by using a Quick Search for Visits Occurring Today.

  • For each Visitor, verify the Visitor’s identity.

  • If needed, you can edit their personnel record from the Visit General tab to enter additional information, such as an email address for a reminder to return a badge.

Right-click on the Visitor name and choose Edit on the Visit editor - General tab.

  • Contact the Hosts to inform them that Visitors have arrived.

  • Optionally, if the Host is configured with the Notify option and an email address, the system sends a notification to the Host that Visitors have arrived.

  • Check in the Visitors and optionally give them the access card associated with the temporary credentials.

  • If you have configured a check-in reader, have the Visitors swipe their access card to check-in.
  • If you have configured a Check-in Site, Visitors can use the C•CURE Kiosk application to register their visit and check-in.

  • When the visit is over, check out the Visitors, collect any issued access cards, and return temporary credentials.

  • If you have configured a check-out reader, have the Visitors swipe their access card to check-out.
