Planned Visits using the Visit web portal

If you plan a workflow that uses the Visit web portal for Visits, the Visit Host can:

  • Register and log on to the portal.
  • Select a Visit Site.
Note: To avoid time zone inconsistencies, the Visit Site selected must have the same time zone settings as the time zone of the Host's browser.
  • Search through the Visits assigned to a Host.
  • Create or edit a Visit for the site, adding Visitor, Host, instructions, and attachments to the Visit.
  • Select a Visit Template that includes the appropriate clearances.
  • Add Visitors to the Visit.
  • Add additional Hosts to the Visit.
  • Have the system send email to the Visitors ahead of time.
  • Use Visit UDFs to provide additional information about the Visit, such as the purpose of the Visit.

This workflow also requires that a C•CURE 9000 Operator or Visit Administrator:

  • (Optional) Manage Temporary Credentials.
  • (Optional) Create Visitor Templates:
    • Assign Visitor as the Personnel Type to the Visitor Template.
    • Add Clearances to the Visitor Template.
    • Add a Credential with a randomly generated card number to the Visitor Template.
  • Create Visit Templates.
    • (Optional) Add Hosts and Visitors to the Visit Templates.
    • (Optional) Add Documents to the Visit Templates.
    • (Optional) Add Clearances to the Visit Templates.
  • Create and Configure Visit Sites.
    • Define Visit Templates available for that particular site.
    • Add eligible Hosts to the Visit Site.
    • Select Personnel fields for Visitors using the Visit Site editor. See Configuring Visitor Setup for a Visit Site.
    • Specify the Partition where Visitors for the Visit Site will be located by default.
  • Create and Configure Check-in Sites:
    • Add Visit Site or Visit Sites to associate with the Check-in Site.
    • Define Data Collection options for Visitors to enter when using the C•CURE Kiosk.
  • Assign Temporary Credentials to arriving Hosts and Visitors.
  • Check in arriving Visitors:
  • Check out Visitors when the Visit has concluded. Or Visitors can check out by card swipe if configured - see Configuring a Door Action for Check-Out.
  • Remove Temporary Credentials from Visitor records when the credentials are returned.
  • Select and create Visit User-defined fields so that additional details about the Visit can be provided by the Host when creating a Visit. Configuring Visit user-defined fields
