System Variables for the C•CURE Portal

The following System Variables in Options & Tools apply to the C•CURE Portal. For more information about System Variables, refer to the C•CURE 9000 System Maintenance Guide.

System Operations

Allow Web Portal Basic Authentication

The values are true and false. In C•CURE 9000 v3.00, the default value is False. However, in v2.90 SP4, or when you upgrade from v2.90 to v3.00, the default value is True to preserve functionality.

  • If the Windows Principal in the Personnel field is configured for a user's Personnel record, the user uses Windows authentication to log into the Visitor Management web portal.

  • If Windows Principal is not configured, and the Allow Web Portal Basic Authentication System Variable is True, the Host uses basic authentication to log into the web site.

  • If Windows Principal is not configured, and the Allow Web Portal Basic Authentication System Variable is False,the user will not be able to log into the web site.

C•CURE Portal

Allow E-mailing of Visitor's Portraits

The values are true and false. The default value is True.

  • If the AllowEmailVisitorPortrait System Variable is True, the Visitor Management System includes the Visitor's portrait thumbnail in the notification email when the Visitor checks in.

  • If the AllowEmailVisitorPortrait System Variable is False, the Visitor Management System excludes the Visitor's portrait thumbnail from the notification email when the Visitor checks in.

C•CURE Portal Website URL

The value is a string; the default is a blank string.

This System Variable contains the URL of the C•CURE Portal. This generates an email with the URL of the C•CURE Portal, that is sent to configured users of the Visitor and Access Management applications. C•CURE 9000 does not validate that this System Variable contains a valid URL. If this System Variable is blank, no emails are generated to any users of the C•CURE Portal.

This example uses the recommended SSL security (HTTPS) along with the default address - <machinename>/ccureportal/ - for the portal.

Web user welcome email header

The value is a string; and the default value is blank.

This System Variable contains a customized header that can be used in the email to welcome users to the C•CURE Portal when they first register.

If this System Variable string is blank, a default header is used instead.

Note: If this field is left blank, the message is automatically translated into the appropriate language. If the user enters text, the text is not translated.

The value is a string; the default value is a blank string.

This System Variable contains a customized footer that can be used in the in the email that welcomes users to the C•CURE Portal.

If this System Variable string is blank, a default footer is used instead.

Note: If this field is left blank, the message is automatically translated into the appropriate language. If the user enters text, the text is not translated.

Web user welcome email subject line

The value is a string; the default value is a blank string.

This System Variable contains a customized greeting that can be used in the in the email that welcomes users to the C•CURE Portal.

If this System Variable string is blank, a default welcome message is used instead.

Note: If this field is left blank, the message is automatically translated into the appropriate language. If the user enters text, the text is not translated.
Access Management

Days before a Pending Request is Canceled

The value is numeric; the default value is 14.

The range of values that you can enter is 1 to 365.

A pending request is a request for clearance created by a requester in the C•CURE Portal that has not been approved by an approver. This system variable sets the length of time before the pending requests are automatically canceled.

Days before an Active Request expires that it changes to "Soon to Expire"

The value is numeric; the default value is 14.

The range of values that you can enter is 1 to 365.

An active request is an access request created in the C•CURE Portal that has been approved by an approver. The state of the active request changes to Soon to Expire based on the number of days entered in this System Variable.

Days before a Pending Request is due to expire

The value is numeric; the default value is 14.

The range of values that you can enter is 1 to 365.

A pending request is an access request created in the C•CURE Portal that has yet to be approved by an approver. This system variable determines the number of days that pending requests can wait to be approved before the request automatically cancels and is not available to view.
