Renewing a request

Use the renew request option to renew a previously submitted request. When you renew an access request, you can modify the name, justification and start and end dates of the request.

You can renew an access request if it is in an active, approved, pending, rejected, expired or soon to be expired state.

After renewing a request, a new request is created with information copied from the original request, and the new request changes to the pending state. You can use the Pending tab in the Access Requester application to approve or reject the request.

  1. Click Audit by Request in the Access Approver Application.
  2. Select an access request from the request list.
  3. Right-click to open the request context menu. Click Renew or click View to open the request and click the Renew Request button. The Renew Request dialog box displays.
  4. In the Name field, type a name for the request.
  5. In the Justification field, type a justification for the request.
  6. In the Start Date field, click the calendar icon and select a date and time. Click Set. You must select a start date that does not precede the current date.
  7. In the End Date field, click the calendar icon and select a date and time. Click Set. You must select an end date that does not precede the current date.
  8. Click Renew.
