Configuring a door action for creating Access Requests

You can configure a door to create an Access Request when a card swipe at a door is rejected.

In C•CURE 9000, a door is a logical structure that ties together a controller and associated readers for access control. If you activate this option, when a person swipes a known access card at a reader and the card is rejected, a new Access Request is created. The appropriate Approver or Approvers can approve the request in the Access Approver application in the C•CURE Portal.

Use the Special Actions tab in the Door editor to configure a door to automatically create an Access Request.

  1. In the Navigation pane, navigate to the door you want to configure.
  2. On the Special Actions tab, click Add Action.
  3. From the Door Action list, select Create Access Request.
  4. Select the Direction for the action to take place, choose between the following options:
    • Select In to create an Access Request for an inbound reader.
    • Select Out to create an Access Request for an outbound reader.
    • Select In and Out to create an Access Request for an inbound or outbound reader.
  5. Select a Schedule for the action to activate.
  6. Select a Clearance to apply to the door.
  7. Click Save and Close.
